About Us
Our story…During the dot com boom, everyone wanted a website.
Anyone who knew a little Dreamweaver started a web design company. Soon the web world was littered with poorly designed websites. Most design houses slapped on content from print brochures to get sites up quickly. And everyone made money (to some extent).
We had jobs at leading media companies. We were taking the national newspapers online. We were building auction sites, online communities, portals for women, investment tools for brokers, etc. We were trying to set standards on how websites should be designed. We were experimenting with online content. We were learning at breakneck speed that online is radically different from print and broadcast.
Then the bubble burst. Most web design houses who were there for a quick buck bailed. A trail of badly conceptualised websites lay in their wake. Our universe shrunk rapidly. Projects were being canned or shelved, although we still hung on to our jobs.
We had to do something! We still believed in the immense potential of the web. The speed, the reach and the ability to connect with people from all over the world kept us spellbound. We were desperate to do more. We went to work each day, restless. It became apparent we were addicted to doing “anything web”.
In 2003, we leaped. We left our cushy jobs with a mission. We had this romantic notion that we could make the web world a better place. We knew we had the skills and experience to help organisations create well-conceptualised sites. We just had to find clients who believed in the power of the web and in what we had to say.
Since then, we’ve never looked back. Each day we seize the opportunity to make a difference. In the last 7 years, we’ve had the good fortune of working with some excellent clients and have established a reputation for creating websites where content is easy to find, effortless to understand and a pleasure to consume.
There’s much more to be done.
