Editor/Writer
We are looking for experienced business/trade writers and editors, or ex-government agency individuals who have flair for writing simply and concisely to join the Digital Boomerang family.
You take the time and effort to comprehend, analyze, and make difficult subjects easier to understand. You must have the ability to interpret and communicate quantitative information. If you don’t like/understand business, you won’t like/understand our business or readers.
If you’d rather be writing a novel or a great travel piece, this position is not suitable for you.
Requirements
- At least 3 years relevant writing or communications experience
- Strong portfolio in editorial and copywriting for Government portals or Business advisory writing
- Strong conceptual understanding of the business world and business topics
- Familiar with the unique characteristics of Internet audiences
- Excellent command of the English language
- Organised and detailed, and enjoys managing content
- Capability to work independently and multi-task in fast-paced environment
- Able to handle writing on serious subjects
- Passionate about the web
- Believes strongly that clarity is key to communication
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Writing FAQs, how-to guides, content for the web
- Web content management systems
- Web graphic skills (HTML, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash)
- Experience in trade, business publications or web publications
- Experience in the following industries is a plus: government, business, tax, retail, finance, manufacturing, engineering
