DearSingapore
Services: Content Strategy, Information Architecture, Web Design
The Community Partnerships and Outreach team at the National Library Board (NLB) engaged us to redesign the DearSingapore.sg website to match the 2008 theme - “To My Grandpa/Grandma”. Last year, we had designed the site to bring to life the theme “Letters from Grandma and Grandpa”. This year, the challenge was to create a design that would appeal to youths - an energetic and vibrant design using bright and lively colours.
Old site: Homepage, Section page, Article Page
Aside from the design, we also reworked the information architecture. There were two objectives (a) to accommodate both the 2007 and 2008 content and (b) to ensure the content is organised from the user’s (as opposed to the organisation’s) perspective. The changes are reflected in the new left navigation and the homepage where the contest - which is the main activity for 2008 - is prominently displayed.
New site:
When we presented the redesigned site to the client, they loved it. The site was launched on 11 July 2008.
