Do you do “user-centred” design?
Yes, we do. We always design with the user in mind.
If the client has the budget to involve users at every stage of the design, we encourage it.
From our experience, users help us decide where to place elements on a page and what type of web controls to use. For instance, we can find out from users:
- whether checkboxes or drop-down menus are better
- where to place the search box
- how prominent buttons need to be
- what should be placed at the top of the page
However, users can’t actually design the page for you. You still need a very good designer to create something that:
- is aesthetically pleasing
- represents your brand personality
- invokes a positive emotional response
